Glenn County | Hamilton City Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) | January 14th, 2016

Although not designed explicitly as a groundwater recharge project, the Hamilton City Project is expected to benefit local groundwater supplies. Having an additional 1,450 acres of floodplain reconnected to the Sacramento River during high flow events will allow transitory storage of flood flows and help recharge the groundwater basin.
